Roast: Medium-Dark and Mysterious

They say facts are stubborn things, but the fact here is that the smallholder farmers from the Kintamani region in Bali produce Bourbon, Typica, and Catimor beans that can soothe the most turbulent soul. This medium-dark beauty is grown in volcanic soil - which is precisely where I'd want my coffee to come from if I intended to have any fire in my belly. It's thick with the flavors of dark chocolate, molasses, and brown sugar, as rich and dark as a moonless night on the Mississippi. Hand-picked, wet-hulled, and sun-dried on raised beds, it's a sophisticated brew that tastes like it's seen the world - and isn't particularly impressed by any of it.
